"Voyage of Discovery" engages your audiences like never before and includes new NASA images and animated video sequences.

"Voyage of Discovery" works exactly the same as the Original Version of the Planets program and is sequenced backstage in realtime to the orchestra's live performance. It is available in High Definition and Standard Definition.

• New video introductions hosted by Dr. Norm Thagard, M.D., combine historical information about Gustav Holst, the premiere performance of "The Planets Suite," and Holst's mystical view of the planets. Each introduction mixes mystical, magical and scientific information in a documentary format to help mentally prepare the audience for their journey across our solar system. The introduction videos can be turned ON or OFF for your performance allowing you to use them or not use them at your discretion.
• Recent high quality NASA photographs taken by various deep-space probes, satellites and telescopes.
• All new, NASA-approved animations, including video of the Mars Rover rocketing through space and soft landing on Mars. Actual photos taken by the Mars Rover and video seen through the "eyes" of the Mars Rover are included in this sequence, giving your audience an up close and personal view of the red planet. Additional NASA video and animations are included in select movements of the suite.
• An enhanced information bar gives the operator more information about the current status and progress, making the real-time cueing extremely simple.
• The ability to select whether to show the NASA Astronaut intro/segue videos, as well as which sections of the realtime animation to include in your presentation, giving you full control and allowing you the option of performing only certain sections of The Planets Suite. For example, you could perform only Mars and Jupiter for a school performance. The sections are as follows, and any of them can be shown or skipped: (1) Mars, (2) Venus and Mercury, (3) Jupiter, (4) Saturn and Uranus, and (5) Neptune.
