Jerry, It's been a hectic week ... However we survived the week and have some new friends of the SSO in large part to your Planets video.
The Syracuse Symphony Orchestra had a great experience with The Planets animation from Video Ideas that was shown at a wide variety of performances from Family to Education concerts and even our Classics Series. The response of the Friday night Classics audience was so positive that when the box office phones rang off the hook on Saturday, we elected to belatedly add the video into Saturday as well with similar comments. The video while extremely engaging allows the great music of Holst to stay front and center which was exactly our goal. Our Planets Presentation March 8 was a smashing success . . . it was sensational! People loved it and some said they were even in tears it was so beautiful. We sold lots of single tickets to first time Symphony attendees and had a record crowd at the performance, some coming over 200 miles to see the production.
